SEABASs: SEd Analysis using BAyesian Statistics
is a new SED decomposition code that combines two sets of SED templates
provided by the user and a library of synthetic stellar templates from
the GALAXEV code (Bruzual and Charlot, 2003) to fit photometric data points.
The program is easy to install and use, it runs in Java and it uses a graphic user interface for all of its functions.
The fit is done using a maximum likelihood method, and there is the possibility to include priors, like an equilibrium between the energy emitted in the infrared and the stellar energy obscured in the optical, prior information about the relative intensity of the AGN component in a certain band, and prior information about the star formation rate.
The output information can contain likelihood profiles of the stellar mass and of photometric quantities selected by the user.
